York Medical Eye Care (Optometrists) offers comprehensive eye care to all age groups. Our optometrists have advanced training and extensive experience diagnosing, preventing, and treating the full spectrum of vision-related conditions, including diseases such as glaucoma, cataract, and retinal problems. Our exams include a full assessment with an optometrist using our advanced diagnostic testing and a consultation with our eye care experts. Depending on the diagnosis, our optometrists can prescribe the necessary treatment or help manage your care in conjunction with an ophthalmologist in an effort to help you retain your sight.
Seniors 65 and over and children under 19 are eligible under OHIP for a basic eye exam once a year. OHIP eligibility is defined by the Ministry of Health and Long-Term Care, but it is highly recommended patients opt into our additional retinal digital testing for complete comprehensive eye care and early detection. You will always leave our office being more educated about your eyes than ever before.
